Dear PDA Membership,
We wanted to take a minute on the eve of the election to thank you.
We have done amazing things together!
Who would have thought when we launched PDA two years ago that we
would be involved in 19 campaigns during our first election cycle?
PDA candidates {
http://pdamerica.org/articles/campaigns} from New
York, Florida, Michigan, California and across the country are
running on a progressive platform calling for withdrawal from Iraq,
fair trade and universal health care, even in red districts, and they
are making a difference.
While we are hopeful the Democratic Party will take back Congress,
our work will continue until we elect a progressive governing
majority. To that end, we are asking you to keep working with us in
demanding that Democratic Party leaders end the occupation of Iraq
when they take over in January.
Already, 27,000 activists have signed our on-line petition
{

Rep. McGovern’s HR 4232
{
http://pdamerica.org/articles/news/2006-09-12-13-20-02-news.php} to
cut the funds for the Iraq War. We plan on stepping up this effort in
the coming weeks with a goal of gathering 100,000 signatures we can
deliver to Speaker Pelosi!
Have you signed the on-line petition? Please take a few minutes now
to sign it and then send the link

friends.

and copy it to distribute at your workplace and organization
meetings.
Again, thank you for all your hard work registering voters, walking
door to door, holding vigils, organizing film showings and getting
the progressive vote to the polls.
We look forward to working with you as we build the progressive
movement inside and outside the Democratic Party!
In peace,
Mimi Kennedy, PDA Board Chair
