CanOFun back up tomorrow-some crappy ISP called Hurricane Electric
is at fault and they are too stupid to fix the problem with their router.

Will post videos from tonight, of which I have a few, including an edited selected bits version of the Boxer/Dean book conference.. in the morning.. providing they figure out ... will stop here before I swear some more.

1. Have you tried Interland?
They've been bulletproof for me so far.

3. The problem is this (tech talk ahead)
It's not the problem with the ISP where the servers are, it's one of the routers in the path TO the ISP. That router, from HE, is having a problem talking to the CanOFun ISP-I think, but not sure that the ISP hosting CanOFun has a peering relationship ONLY with HE and so they're screwed if HE goes down or has a problem, rather than finding some other peer route to get out on the internet.

4. Peer 1 just bought them
I officially hate their stinking asses. The only dumber group of people are in the White House. We never had a single problem with Interland for years, and now it's a problem a week. Aaargh.

5. No shit. Any other suggestions, then? I don't need aggro from my ISP.
Suggestions would be appreciated.

9. I don't know
I was just making a comment. Sorry if I upset you. I hate them, but I don't know what else to do either.

10. Oh, no apology needed; I really appreciate getting a heads-up on
this kind of stuff. It's damn valuable to hear about the decline in their performance and tech support BEFORE I have a problem.

I'll be checking around, and if I hear of any well-rated ISPs, I'll be sure to drop you a PM with the info.

2. They are also heavily blacklisted for allowing/supporting SPAM
According to newsgroups I read. I would not associate with them...

6. Argh! I have one customer hosted there, and I'm going to change that
TOMORROW! I will not support a spam-friendly ISP.

I really, really appreciate that information.

7. Don't forget to let the offending ISP know what you're doing and why.
Maybe it will act as a kick in their butt and get them to consider changing their ways.

11. Checkout NANAE, NANAS, & NANABL
to see what current levels are.

Also hit some of the blacklist check sites. Note that they tend to be IP based.
