14. Are you kidding?
People could do ANYTHING short of physical assault on Allen and the goons can't do jack cheese now. That video neutered them. Any Allen stalkers are going to have a great time between now and Tuesday.

All I saw was the video of them trying to throw that Daily Kos guy through the plate glass window and then ejecting him from the building -- and then the cheese hit the fan........

violence, being able to resolve all his life problems with beating someone up (siblings, football mentality, wife) to have to contain himself with this reality irritating cartoon following him around. wow. that took some control on his part, lmao

32. I agree with you--if I were him, I'd be sucking up to my base in the
rural areas. It's not like people don't KNOW about his association with football, after all. He woulda been better off throwing a giant WIDESCREEN football party down in the southern part of the state than stumbling through a parking lot in MD, trying to sort the DC and MD residents from the VA ones. And then, those HEADS following him....

Stupid fuck!! But hey, it's all good...and that Rumsfeld head is the BEST, ever!!!

45. I'm embarrassed to say this but
a Redskins victory over Dallas would actually help Allen. He will be right there for the post game interview and photo-op. It would mean a lot more than a Saddam guilty verdict.

and many of them would be his base.

Plus, it's more fun to be there than shaking the hands of all the, you know, riff raff in the rural areas.

I'd actually prefer that Washington lose, that way, they could blame the curse of the macaca on the loss...

EDIT...darn, Macaca's team won. Hope that's the only win he sees this week.

93. His Dad used to Coach that NFL team when they were winners.
Allen was elected Governor because of name recognition. Some of the uninformed may have even thought they were voting for his father.
To re-connect the name recognition to the team will help him among the NASCAR crowd and football fans in red parts of the state. I didn't get to see the game today, but chances are the camera panned to him in a nice box seat. The team beat a major rival today also.

It isn't a huge help, but even a tiny percentage who get out and vote for him could turn this election. I see it as a televised GOTV.

24. Jesus Christ on a unicycle, those are a SCREEEEAAAAAAM!!!
Normally, I am not hugely amused by these sorts of displays, but it is the sheer QUALITY of the BIG, GIANT HEADS, the artistry, the difference in the head sizes and the bodies in inmate garb, that seals the deal.

The snarling RUMSFELD is just gutbusting!!!! If I had to pick a favorite, it would be that one!

The other aspect that makes the pictures work so well is that the giant heads appear more full of life than the wooden candidate!!!

Talk about obnoxious prop usage.

(It's because his dad was a famous football coach btw...and he milks it for Johnny Sixpack.)

Webb finally did a great comeback on CSPAN 2. He read reviews and accolades for his 'controversial writings'. There's nothing controversial about his writings and the USMC actually recommeds reading it.

OMG, these are hilarious! Each time I look at these photos, there's some new detail that makes me laugh all over again. Did anyone notice that "Bush" is trying to shake hands w/fans, too? Rumsfeld w/a cutsy heart, Bush's smirk, Cheney's snarl. Oh, it's just perfect.

Hey all,

We're working hard at the Backbone Campaign and we need your support (donations!). We have four sets of those masks and they are touring the country. They are available for rent at any gathering you think they might be useful. Currently we have sets available on the West Coast (Seattle,WA), Southwest (Salt Lake City, UT) , Midwest (Chicago, IL) and East coast (Washington , DC). And we'll ship them anywhere inside the USA. http://www.angelfire.com/music4/crnr27a/samcooke.htm

I hear somethin' sayin'

(Hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)
(Hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)

(Well, don't you know)
That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

All day long they're singin'
(Hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)
(Hooh! aah!) (hooh! aah!)

(Well, don't you know)
That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

All day long they work so hard
Till the sun is goin' down
Working on the highways and byways
And wearing, wearing a frown
You hear them moanin' their lives away
Then you hear somebody sa-ay

That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

Can't ya hear them singin'
Mm, I'm goin' home one of these days
I'm goin' home see my woman
Whom I love so dear
But meanwhile I got to work right he-ere

(Well, don't you know)
That's the sound of the men working on the chain ga-a-ang
That's the sound of the men working on the chain gang

All day long they're singin', mm
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my work is so hard
Give me water, I'm thirsty
My work is so hard

119. Why he ALWAYS has a football... a must see...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Allen_(football)

Seems Allen's handlers are smart. Very smart. The famous George Allen was, as most fans know, a very very respected coach. This George Allen is holding a football because it makes a certain, pleasant, association for male voters who are sports fans AND it gives him a name recognition that he did not earn.

127. I was Bush!
Hi all -

I was under the Bush mask in those pictures, and man it was fun. The outfits are made by the Backbone Campaign and you can get info at www.chaingang.org. It was a CODEPINK: Women for Peace event - the DC area CODEPINK women have been bird-dogging Allen around. www.codepinkalert.org or www.codepinkDC.org. We had the Chain Gang at his rally the day before and then protested 3 of his rallies today. The Chain Gang is going down to Charlottesville for election day to talk to voters outside the polling places.

We had a great time shaking hands with voters, thanking Allen for voting for war, trying to get photo ops with him, yelling at "peaceniks", etc. There's a photo of us on pg A7 of the Washington Post. The sign in the bottom photo that Bush is holding (someone asked about it) says "Allen and I... perfect together". If you're in the DC area and ever want to wear one of the outfits, let me know! We've been going out around DC every week to raise awareness for our campaign to vote for peace candidates: www.GivePeaceaVote.org.

Peace,

Sonia
