Ahhhhh... I just voted - Straight Democratic Ticket.
Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 05:37 PM by Hissyspit
It felt so good. Turns out there was no need for me to vote Repub on the local level, which I sometimes do if they're good people. Here in North Carolina there are no national Senate races, no governor race and, of course, no Presidential race.

So I took the pen and filled in the little oval next to Straight Ticket - DEM. Real impact, but I relish the symbolism of the act, too.

On Edit: P.S. Hope they get counted.

3. I just voted, too...
...and was quite amazed at the turnout, already! We had to wait nearly an hour, and there were upwards of a hundred people waiting, cycling through at any given time. But everyone was very patient and pleasant, and the poll volunteers were doing amazingly well with only ONE computer to verify registration for each voter (that was the bottleneck.)

I could have voted "Straight Dem" but it was just too much fun to go down the list and fill in every single oval with a "Dem" by it. woo-HOO!!

happily,
Bright

5. Couldn't do that here...

First I voted straight Dem.

Then I had to vote in the "special" house races due to the re-districting (those were not covered by straight dem votes and could hurt Doggett)

Then I had to scroll over the entire ballot and select the independents where there were no dems running since I was hell bent to deny every repug possible a vote.

Then I had to check my vote, which was a bitch since only the race/name was listed. I know for sure none of the dems names flipped before I confirmed, but I can't say for sure about the independents.

15. Where did you get the list of Democratic Judges?
I'm in the triad and would rather vote for a copperhead snake than a RePiglican.
