Didn't they execute the Rosenbergs for passing nuke secrets?

Julius Rosenberg (May 12, 1918 – June 19, 1953) and Ethel Greenglass Rosenberg (September 28, 1915 – June 19, 1953) were American Communists who received international attention when they were executed for passing nuclear weapons secrets to the Soviet Union.

6. Actually, Ethel was executed for less than that
While there was some evidence against Julius, who indisputably had contact with Klaus Fuchs (who was tried in Britain, found guilty, and sentenced to 14 years), there was no evidence presented in open court that the information Julius allegedly passed to Fuchs had anything to do with atomic "secrets" or that what he allegedly passed was of any use whatsoever.

Ethel, on the other hand, was executed for even less, basically hearsay evidence that she typed up some notes or a memorandum for Julius to pass to Fuchs. No evidence was presented against Ethel that she had any knowledge of Julius' doings with Fuchs, what the substance of their contact might have been, or even that she typed anything.

9. Ethel was executed simply as a wedge
to make her husband talk. The only evidence against her was proven false, as her brother, David Greenglass, perjured himself to save his wife, who actually met with and passed questionable evidence to the Russians.

There's a really good book on Greenglass, "The Brother," by Sam Roberts. Greenglass also appeared on 60 Minutes and admitted he'd provided false evidence which sent his sister to her execution. He has no remorse.

Also, the Rosenbergs were not executed on treason. The charge was Conspiracy to Commit Treason. Their children and grandchildren are still very much involved in leftist causes.

7. Pete Hoekstra should be executed
snip -

The nuclear program was eliminated by the Gulf War, but documents remained. Who demanded their release? None other than House Intelligence Committee Chariman Pete Hoekstra, who sang the praises of "leveraging the internet," i.e., throwing a political bone to right-wing bloggers who would invent connections between Saddam and al Qaeda, in this op-ed:

"The proposed approach will be a transparent process rather than one mired in secrecy. It will allow us to leverage the Internet to enable a mass examination as opposed to limiting it to a few exclusive elites. What would have once taken years and decades may now be done in real time."

He was right, just in a way that cripples national security: What would have once taken years and decades -- terrorists getting a "basic guide to building an atom bomb" -- may now be done in real time, thanks to politically-motivated Congressional Republicans.
