Optimism...

I think we should try and be optimistic about the upcoming elections. I know that I am trying to be. I have seen here on DU numerous posts that seem to be negative and I feel that they are quite discouraging. Yes, I know there are reports of voter fraud and spastic e-voting machines, but we will deal with that and we will overcome it. I really truly do feel that the Dems are going to have the House and Senate. I would be surprised otherwise. I feel that most Americans want a change and they are willing to go to the polls and prove it.

This is just how I feel. I can't really articulate what I want to say, just that we should keep on keepin' on and be strong, now more than ever.

I am going to continue to do my part, however small that may be, to give the Dems a majority. I have been busting my butt working with the coordinated campaigning center here and I am going to go and vote.

We all know the GOP will use every filthy trick in the book.....BUT IT WILL BE SO MUCH HARDER NOW WITH THE MARGINS AND PEOPLE WATCHING FOR AND RECORDING THEIR NONSENSE!

YES they will try to steal it again...NO THEY WILL NOT SUCCEED! THE GIG IS UP! BELIEVE IT!

2. I beleive that if the GOP do try to steal it

they would be met with alot of opposition and there would be an outcry. I don't think that most Americans want to continue with Bush and the neocons in office. I have been reading more and more reports, not just on DU but on other sites, that people are starting to support Democratic candidates.

A slogan that my local Dem campaigning center uses and I actually was driving behind a bus that had it on it's backside: "Don't Take No Static, Vote Straight Democratic" I got to say, that for the first time in my short voting life, I am going to take heed of that advice.
