Let's all give a round of applause to Boehner for screwing it up for the Repube-lickers.

This is the story:

Boehner essentially said to Wolf Blitzer, that Donald Rumsfeld was not responsible for the failures in Iraq, but that the generals were.

These are the very same generals who cannot become involved in political matters, so they could never defend themselves.

Boehner was trying to push it off on people who cannot defend themselves.

Boehner essentially blamed the generals in Iraq (who cannot defend themselves) for the failure of the Iraq War. They can't respond because they can't be political, so we Dems have to protect those generals.
