Don't forget the ADULTS tonight!
Without seeming like I was pushing a political agenda on a day for the children, I placed a small stack of candidate literature on the front porch tonight, with a take one (if you feel so inclined attitude to it...) Very non-threatening.

Hopefully my home remains egg-free tonight! :heh:

Great way to do some walk-free literature distribution in the final push in the last remaining week!

Happy Halloween, DU!

4. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, that's just tacky.

I've seen it done before and I promise all it does is backfire, I wouldn't do it, and frankly I'd bet that the candidates wouldn't want you doing it.

I remember one halloween coming home and having regan flyers in my bag, my dad freaked out. Even though you're not pressuring them and actually handing it out, its the same concept.

5. My 75 year old parents have a big sign in their window beside the front door
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 06:37 PM by DesertRat
It reads: "Had Enough? Vote Democratic!"
Parents taking their children trick or treating can't miss it. :)

6. I ran into 7 individuals in the 70+ demographic today on my walk route...
who were stark raving mad. Lifelong, party-line conservative voters, one individual, we'll call him "George" asked me today: "I'll take any and every lawn sign you have for Democratic candidates in your truck. Quick, quick, get them in the lawn immediately!"

He ended up with four.

Great guy, lots of enthusiasm to vote Democrat for perhaps the first time in life.

7. That's fantastic
My parents are long-time Dems. But they say that their Republican friends are really mad and are voting for Democrats this time. :hi:
