They tried valiently to destroy the sacred holiday of Halloween, making creepy Christian haunted houses for the kiddies, telling them its the devil's holiday, telling them it's evil to dress up silly and beg for candy.

But they have been vanquished! Defeated! Conquered! The Evil Dark overlord Satan has won!

Halloween is a coruption of their name of All Hallows eve.

No one at Wal-Mart wished me a "Blessed Samhain". So, they must be anti-samhain.

I posted in the Lounge that I was amazed that so many retailers were decorated for frackin' Christmas by Labor Day! I'm not joking, either. I went into a Lowe's and they had a whole section with Christmas trees & XMas paraphanalia.

There were probably some families who didn't participate, but everyone in my neighborhood did, the liberals (all 10 of us) and the dutch reformed alike.

The anti-Halloween christians are generally about as far outside the mainstream as Jehovah's Witnesses.
