http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061028/ap_on_el_se/connecticut_senate

So Lieberworm, a Democratic senator, is using the help of Republicans to take down the Democrat candidate that the people of his state picked over him.

What a fucking asshole.

1. Yup. Rather like the green party (wholly owned subsidiary of the GOP)

2. No kidding, eh? Except in Lieberman's case
he's trying to get himself elected. When Nader was taking money, he was trying to get the Republicans elected.

5. Okay....I'll bite.
The whole party is a " wholly owned subsidiary of the GOP"?

How do you come to that conclusion?

8. Wow. Where have you been? lol!
In a nutshell: The republican party funded the green party candidate in the PA senate race, in an attempt to leech votes off of Casey, thus helping Santorum. The national green party had no problem with this. Neither did the idiot-holier-than-thou DU green party jackasses.

Hm - that's a fairly good nutshell, if I do say so myself! lolol!

9. Uh....okay.....
Then by that leap of logic, Ross Perot's Reform Party was a "wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party" because of what happened in '92.

Sorry. That's about as silly as the stuff in The Clinton Chronicles.

Perhaps you need some new Reynolds Wrap in your chapeaux?

:tinfoilhat:

10. (shrug) Fine - you don't care about one party fully funding another...
Some of us do - especially when the fundee party spends the bulk of its time bitching at Democrats for lacking integrity.

Sigh. If only Americans *cared* any more.

11. It's politics.
Which is a full-contact sport.

The Repukes have no problem with playing to win, even if that means playing dirty.

We need to do exactly the same, and worse if necessary.

Brings to mind an exchange from DePalma's The Untouchables:

Jimmy Malone: "He pulls a knife; you pull a gun.

He sends one of yours to the Hospital; you send one of his to the fucking morgue.

that's how you get Capone..."

Metaphorically speaking, of course...

Homegrown field vs. Mike Bloomberg's field for Joe
When I say we need to be within 4 or 5 on election day, it's because our field campaign will simply blow the doors off Joe's effort. What's more, his ballot placement won't help at all. In the primary, Joe fought our ground game by spreading nearly $400,000 in cash around the streets of Connecticut. This time, he's turning to good friend and host of three fundraisers for Joe, Republican Mike Bloomberg.

This is all well and good, but for someone screaming ad nauseum about Ned's personal contributions to the campaign, relying on Bloomberg so heavily reaks of hypocrisy.

Either way, won't be the first time Joe's out of state minions are destroyed by a homegrown field campaign.

6. Don't rap ny dems.
I live here and no one I know is giving any support to joe , or any other repub. IMHO Bloomies "help" will just fire up Conn. voters against joe. Hopefully after the election joe can get his box of joe anytime he wants, as he will have plenty of time.
