1. Response to the film

This film blew me away. After the first thirty minutes, I was telling myself that I'm not filing or paying taxes anymore. By the end of the film I wass planning my escape from the country before they issue national id cards with rfid and close the borders to those who want out. Pretty soon they'll be one way borders, the only ones allowed to enter will be mexican truckers, while the movements of Americans will be controled. Can you say, "papers, papers please". It reminds me of movies WWII movies with German soldiers on every train.

3. Aaron Russo's a nutjob

I may still watch the movie (hell, Orson Welles was a nutjob, too), but I wanted to express my opinion that Russo, who ran for governor here a few years back, is a Libertarian/Conservative/Republican weirdo who, as part of his campaigning, made bizarre statements and showed an outlandish understanding of law and politics.

Persuasive as hell, though, and perhaps representative of the growing unrest amongst conservatives over where their party has left their country.
