CBS News Poll: Was M J Fox exaggerating?
Edited on Thu Oct-26-06 06:32 PM by lpbk2713

The entire poll question at the CBS News website: Was Michael J. Fox exaggerating his Parkinson's disease symptoms for political effect?

Link: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/10/24/politics/main2121910.shtml

True, these web polls are highly unscientific. But for what it's worth at this time 79% of the respondents say he wasn't. Looks like OxyRush is losing his base just like the rethuglican party is. Soon they will both be relegated to history.

3. Why such a question in the first place? "Poll" if Rush is an ass instead.
What next? "Do you agree that the democrat party wants the terrorists to "win?"

5. For Christ sakes, why do they insult a man with a terrible affliction?
Just having this stupid poll is despicable. Michael J. Fox shouldn't answer to Limbaugh or anyone else. Leave the man alone.

And Limbaugh can rot in hell, the sooner the better.

16. Asking the question is sick. That is NOT a poll question.
What the fuck is wrong with these people? I'm so sick of these people allowing the Limbaughs of the world to define the line of debate.

If they had to do a poll on this situation, the question should be "should the wider media give any coverage to claims made by people like Rush Limbaugh?".

21. Would it matter if he had?
The man has the disease and that is what it does to people.

Are we supposed to believe that somehow tremors are NOT associated With the disease? Is that what Rush wants us to believe? Or that Fox doesn't have it?

25. Scientific or unscientific isn't really my issue in this case.
The problem with the poll is that respondents aren't qualified to answer the question.

If they had asked, "Do you think Michael J. Fox was..." it would be different, but it's not what they're asking.

This happens a lot lately. People are increasingly being called upon to express their opinions as facts as if we're all entitled to our own facts.
