The link below reveals the story of privatisation in the 90's and Carlyle's purchase of the contracting company later. The BinLaden Family claimed to have divested from Carlyle BUT it's a private equity partnership, so prove it. Oops, you can't.

Furthermore, Dubai has recently bought a stake in Carlyle Group. Finally, Carlyle Group is a finalist in the proposed sale of Dubai Ports World's US port assets...21 ports in all, not 6, as widely reported--it's 6 BIG ports out of 21 total. DPW is running ops at those 21 ports right now.

Makes one wonder.
