The following is a message from Republicans Against Careless Soldiers (RACS)
Veterans are being un-patriotic by getting themselves injured.
Is that any way to support our president?
When George W. Bush sent all of those guys to Iraq, they all had two arms and two legs.
It is damned irresponsible of them to embarrass our president by doing something stupid like getting blown-up by an IED or shot by a sniper.
And then they insist upon actually demanding treatment for injuries sustained when they were supposed to be spreading freedom.
The worst part is, they have the nerve to complain when there aren't enough resources to treat them.
Hello?
Didn't their commanding officer send them a message from his Blackberry, back in The Green Zone, telling them to "be safe out there?" Why didn't they follow orders?
Of course there aren't the resources to treat all the injured veterans. That's because too many veterans are allowing themselves to become injured!
And then they complain about it, which just makes the president look bad.
That's not very patriotic.
Real patriots don't cavort recklessly among the IEDs saying, "Hey, look at me! I'm gonna lose a leg and get me some veterans benefits!"
When veterans whine and complain that they've been abandoned in their hour of greatest need, all it does is create the false impression that veterans have been abandoned in their hour of greatest need.
And that just gives aid and comfort to the enemy.
That helps the terrorists.
Why should we pay to take care of someone careless enough to get injured during a war?
Why should we pay to take care of a soldier that can't even fight anymore? That just diverts resources from our multi-billion super-embassy the size of The Vatican that we're building in Baghdad.
Do you realize it costs nearly as much to take care of one injured veteran for a year as it does to purchase the chlorine for the indoor pool at the Baghdad embassy for a whole month? That's downright wasteful. Our ambassadors and generals need their pool to swim laps!
And speaking of the generals, you don't see any of the generals getting injured, do you?
Bush didn't get injured when he made his secret visits to Iraq, did he?
Why is it always the regular soldier in the field getting injured, but never the top brass? It's because those wounded vets were not smart enough to stay from the enemy.
Not exactly officer material, I guess.
It's very simple: If there are bombs or bullets... don't go there.
It's really cheaper to just let the injured veterans die, and keep lowering the Army's admission standards to let dumber and dumber people into the military.
Neo-Nazis, The Bloods, The Cryps... they can all join...
'long as they're not queer.
So, the Republican message to the injured Veterans is "Shut-up and die, you ungrateful, careless, freedom-haters! We'll just recruit more idiots to replace you."
So, if you see an injured soldier, tell him he should be ashamed to be seen in public.
By displaying their wounds, people might think that war is some kind of horrible nightmare of blood and death.
And if people believe that, then the terrorists win.
