2. Are they conceding the election?
Haven't been out to see the local prices. But maybe bush and his buddies are saying fuck this, jack those prices up and kiss the congress goodbye.

6. Opec cut production, crude has gone up 4 dollars
Opec countries have recently expanded their domestic budgets. They got very used to the huge oil profits.

Iran made 40 billion more last year from their crude basket price. Opec last year make one trillion when clinton left they were making 150 billion.

That is why israel is in terrible shape. U.S two billion a year is a drop in the bucket for iran. Iran has made hundreds of billions extra in this oil runup. They have the money to give hezbollah far more than the u.s is giving israel.

Iran is now the superpower in the region not israel.

Europeans should be spending their money on darfur let opec take care of the middle east.

7. They're antsy about their Quarterly Profits ...
Edited on Thu Oct-26-06 03:25 PM by TahitiNut
... and can only hold those profits down for about half a quarter before their obsessive greed takes over.

It's important to note that the third quarter was July, August, and September - and they wallowed in their obscene profits for about half a quarter - until mid-August, when they started sinking back to merely obnoxious. Likewise, the fourth financial quarter os October, November and December and, as they're getting closer to mid-November, the smell of profits is triggering their insatiable appetite.

The Love of Money = Root of All Evil.

8. It did here in CT, too, up 3 cents
I was literally at the pump last night around 8pm and the pump started blinking "please do not lift handle, price change in process"

and, the price suddenly went from $2.169 to 2.199.

12. It was lowered just long enough for the Repugs to talk about cheap gas
In their speeches. Now it's back on the move up.

Either that or the Repugs decided the cheap gas scam won't work and they said, "Fuck it. Raise the sucker."

13. Couldn't wait could they?
Junkies addicted to screwing us for a dollar, last go round took a fuckload of gas hogs off the road, when prices fell they came back, now maybe they'll go away for good.
