I got a question
Our local CBS news questioned the candidates for NY CD20 about their ads. One of the questions about our candidate, Kirsten Gillibrand, was about her ad saying that Sweeney gave himself a raise. When Sweeney responded he said that if he didn't vote himself that raise that no Federal workers would have gotten raises either. I have never heard of that, I thought that vote was just for their raise and if that is true then why couldn't they be separated, vote for the Federal workers but Congress say no theirs? Does anyone know for fact if this is true because I have never heard them connected before.
