Since the GOP is blatantly going for the racist vote with their RNC ads against Harold Ford Jr. (and their earlier campaign criticizing him for being a "swinger") I'd suggest the DNC go for it too.

"If you're a racist, don't vote for Harold Ford Jr. because he is black. "

Hell, the racists won't vote for Ford anyway, and at least confronting the issue head on might force other voters to confront their own latent racism.
