ALL The Cool People Are Coming To Seattle
Three potential Democratic presidential hopefuls, one after another, are swinging through here to boost Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell's re-election campaign and Darcy Burner's 8th Congressional District campaign and also, perhaps, to build chits among local Democrats.

Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., spoke Saturday at a Cantwell rally in Seattle and at a state Democratic Party banquet Friday night. Former Vice President Al Gore addressed a Democratic event at Seattle University with Cantwell and Burner Tuesday.

Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, the Democrats' suddenly ubiquitous, media-saturated political heartthrob, will appear with the two candidates at Bellevue Community College Thursday.

Russ, Big Al, and Obama...man, this is a great city to live in!!!

The tickets for Obama were $5, and sold out in 2 hours. They're currently going for around $50 on craigslist.

1. No one is coming to Mississippi
There have been virtually no campaigning outside of local races at all here. Kinda boring. I look forward to the wack job pamphlets that are produced in klaverns throughout the state telling of the evils of hedonistic liberals, but haven't seen a one this year.

3. No, the citizens of Mississippi seem poised
to send Vacant Lott back for yet another six years.

With any luck, though, he'll be out of power.

4. He won't get my vote (again)
but you are right. All the poor folks down here will head for the polls and once again vote against their own best interests.
