I'll start:
1. The Path to 9/11: This made-for-TV stinker was supposed to hurt the Ds tremendously in the election. But then, Big Dawg did his number on Chris Wallace and the whole thing evaporated. Is anybody saying that "Clinton let 9/11 happen" is their reason for voting R this fall? Didn't think so.
2. 5-year 9/11 Observances: bush was going to play this to the hilt. The pundits told us that Americans would suddenly see security/terra as THE issue in the election. Bush's slight bump in the polls was heralded as the beginning of the end for the Dems (remember Tweety's assertion that, "if bush keeps climbing in the polls like this, he'll be at 50% by the election. Game, set match."?). Then came 9/29...and Foleygate sort of changed things.
3. Rs will spend $60MM on ads attacking D morals and character: uh, guess not after all.
4. Ds don't have a plan but Rs do: looks like Americans actually prefer a Party with no plan to a Party with a disastrous plan. Looks like sitting in traffic is preferable to riding in the back seat of Thelma & Louise's convertible.
5. Falling gas prices will turn electorate to Rs: not according to the polls it hasn't.
