Some of them have shaken themselves awake from the right-wing nightmare, and are beginning to realize our democracy, and our liberties, are in danger. They are angry for being made fools of, and are ready to pay the neocons back.

After the vote in November, I'm counting on us gaining control of one, or, with luck, both houses of Congress. At that time, I hope that we can have a huge luau on the beach, and dance in the moonlight, and eat good food, and drink good wine. There will be music, and laughter, and we will start planning on gaining the presidency in 2008.

That will mean I'll have to fly from Texas to Hawaii, but it's a sacrifice I'd love to make! How about it, Opi? What do you say? I'm ready to start feeling the freedom we are losing under the Bush regime, and celebrate once more.

11. No, many of the sheep hate him

The reference to the rest of the population as "sheep" is one that always riles me.
DUers are, if anything, on average more or at least not much less sheeplike, credulous and prone to thinking in lockstep than the population of America as a whole, I suspect, they just blindly follow in different directions, and they obviously loathe him. Never assume that just because people disagree with you they can be dismissed - sometimes they can, but not always, and very seldom as sweepingly as this.

However, a lot of people do, indeed, still love George Bush, for a variety of reasons, mostly I suspect more to do with things they dislike (taxes & government, gays, abortion, Abroad), than with any actual support for him.
