Its suppose to air during the World Series.

I'll never understand how people can oppose science that can help so many.

25. She's wacked out
And her dad used to be a Democrat. She was raised by conservative nuns, though, after her mother died. They really turned her into a warped person.

2. These people are nuts...
Why don't we just ignore science and go back to the stone age?

How disturbing.

and be able to tell those who are disabled that they're better off than if a cure were to be found. :grr:

Probably put together by the people who brought you "Path to 9/11" (that bot P. Heaton is in this one too).

That is the worst ad I have ever seen. What did Jim Caviezel say in the beginning? Just awful! They call that a response.

8. And there won't be any cures for fifteen years
Well then why bother getting any cures at all if it's not going to help us right now. And yet for some reason they think drilling in the Refuge as solving our oil independance even though that'll take 10 years to show anything (and even then, not very much).

And I found it hilarious how they talked about all the money being spent on a constitutional amendment we don't need. Doesn't that sound pretty familiar - like what they are trying to do with the Federal Marriage Amendment.

Hypocrites - all of them

30. Not to mention the Black Death. LEPROSY, anybody?
but, according to these asshats, all the people
who spent their lives looking for cures were just
fools wasting their time.

I'm certain they're all fine with the BILLION$
were currently spending to drop bombs on brown
children, though.

Good Christians like them always are. :sarcasm:

Hell, that's a good thing! Better to have cures 15 years from now than never.

These people are idiots. I noticed none of them were suffering from debilitating illnesses.

11. Why is Heaton being singled out in 50% of the posts so far?
Did anybody notice there were 3 men, sports "heros" on the commercial too? Two of them are a big deal in St. Louis and St. Louis is in the WS so everyone will be watching.

23. Typical RWer
So nice that she can afford to have kid after kid after kid, and then can afford to overhaul her bod ... but she worries about poor women being "seduced" into donating their eggs for science? What if one of those kids wasn't PERFECT? What if one of them had a DEBILITATING DISEASE? She lives in Bush's make-believe world, where everyone has an SUV and plenty of money in the bank.

It's especially sickening coming from someone who was once a "starving actress" (according to mutual friends).

Aramaic? What a bunch of tools. I'm glad Warner was basically a flash in the pan as a QB - too bad he had that brief success. Gawd I hate these RW athletes!

17. Amazing.
Well, at least Warner is in the add - he can't be too popular in St Louis these days.

Hopefully, he does for the republicans just what he's "done" for the Rams.

34. I'm from Iowa, where Warner went to school and stocked shelves
at the local Hy-Vee while playing football for the University of Northern Iowa. Funny, he never thanked God for the job at Hy-Vee only the $$$millions$$ he made playing pro-ball :eyes: I'm sooooo sick of Warner. :puke:

38. Good Debi -
I'm in LA - we largely think of the Rams with no good feeling.

Warner always was a little strange. And a washed up Warner is something much less than convincing.

I always did respect people that gave back to the community that they grew up in.

Kirt needs to take lessons from great atheletes that do so.

Thanks Debi - good post and comment.

21. Kurt Warner? Sweet Jesus, what a loser
Warner took snaps too many times without his helmet. If you look at his decline in the NFL, I think you will find it has to do with lack of brain power.
As for Suppan, I hope he gets a lot of baseballs hit right through the mound. Then we will be able to see if he is for stem cell research on ball replacement(as in testicle).
Got to love the fundies. They want no other science book but the Bible.

22. How ignorant to suggest that investing in medical research isn't...
...worth it, if results may not come for fifteen years. That time is nothing compared to the amount of time people have been afflicted by the diseases that will be alleviated. And what about people who develop diseases and conditions in the future?

Oh, and selling eggs SHOULDN'T be a right? Men sell their sperm, don't they? Fundies can't stand the fact that they don't control women's bodies.

Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 05:30 PM by Neecy
He's a major thumper. Read his little bio in his foundation page and be ready to spurt barf --

It was a time of brokenness and confession. It was a time where I told God that could not do this baseball stuff on my own. That night my prayer was: "Lord, I don’t know where I’m going to go. I don’t know what my career or spring training has in store for me, but it’s time for me to get on the back seat, and you on the front seat." I told God that it was His place of Honor on the front seat should he reside and all I was going to do was Trust Him and PEDAL! He was going to steer me no matter where it took me, and that I was going to keep my eyes focused right upon him."

He's a big anti-abortion nut as well - he also likes to lure Catholics into his fundamentalist religion.
