Why I don't trust pre-election polls
Two different polls, released the same day, on the Florida Governors race.

http://electioncentral.tpmcafe.com/

10/23/06

Quinnipac: Crist (R) 46% - Davis (D) 44%
Cromer: Crist (R) 49% - Davis (D) 38%

Just to put it in context, I've never heard of Cromer before.

There are a few other examples down here with the differences between SurveyUSA and Rasmussen, but I won't get into them.

1. well I tend to trust certain pollsters more than others
and also remember that polls are just snapshots in time--the only polls which matter are the ones which voters go to on 11/7

5. But what really matters is...

...who counts the votes.

Lets see, the counters of 80% of the votes this year will be Diebold, ES&S, and Sequoia. The first two Publican owned and operated, and the last formerly owned by a Publican - now owned by Venezuela.

In other words, nearly 80% of the vote is subject to alteration in near total secrecy.

3. I Think The Cromer Poll Is A Proprietary Poll
It was paid for by a group not the media...

We'll see...

4. We did a poll (internal) using Rasmussen in our race,
And it was much different than the one by Survey USA.
