I heard this fact thrown out this moring in passing.

The grade school class Bush attented was in Florida's 13th Congressional district. The district that Harris won in 2002.

Why? Payback for her helping him steal the 2000 election?

Is this be a fact that might matter to us (and not just the triple-layered tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy nuts)?

1. well that is the strangest tin hat consiracy theory I've heard
the only thing is that Harris wasn't yet the congress person from that district on 9/11, I believe she was "elected" in 2002.

2. Harris didn't win the seat
until 2002. That election was almost 14 months in the future. Bush didn't even appear with her on 9/10 or 9/11 that I recall.

3. You know, that WOULD explain why he was afraid to leave the classroom...
He was afraid Katherine Harris would get him.

4. I'm thinking of any use.
How about this as a politcal use:

"Knowing the Katherine Harris was probably going to going to run for the House, Bush spend his and energy time trying to initiate support for her future candidacy, both as political payback for Harris's taking (stealing?) in Florida in 2000 and as a means of achieving greater political dominance for his brand of neo-con Reoublicanism. He was more concerned with future political control than attending to advisors and others who warned against terrorist's attack."

11. They gave up on her when she became an apparent wacko.
It's okay for a nut to be on the radio, but when one so apparently a self-serving political radical who will continually lie and exaggerate further her purposes, it's best to cut the anchor.

Maybe she even threaten to expose what she did and other did to help steal the 2000 election. Rove would have guessed that she wouldn't (because it would mean criminal charges against herself) and that she was a loose cannon on the party's ship.

But, yes, I've always wondered why . . .

6. No it was Florida
I think he did it as a favor to Jeb. Or vice versa or both. But it was Florida. In Michael Moore's film he shows Jeb meeting him if I am remembering correctly. It's been a while since I've seen the movie.

9. No matter what, the 13th is still a Totally Skanky Geomantic Zone

Considering the General Karmic Kondition of Commander AWOL Bush -- and how he went AWOL on the American people on 9/11 by sitting there wasting 45 minutes reading My Pet Goat. That's a fact beyond debate.

Totally skanky.

I rest my case.

10. Harris wasn't elected until 2002
Dan Miller was Congressman in the 13th District on 9/11, and he was with Bush at the Elementary School.

12. So it's a coincidence????
Miller was planning to retire.

Bush, at that time, wanted to pay back Harris by helping kick off her political possibilities in 2002, before she was seen as a nut job and potential liability (and maybe before she tried to blackmail Bush ("I'll expose how we cheated to take Florida unless you help get me into the Senate"), which Rove thought improbable because it might mean criminal prosecution for her, not to mention the castigation of the nation.

I think there is use (though it might have worked best in 2001 or 2002) showing Rove's political machinations rather than the leader of the nation's concerns for its safety.
