Pretty soon, I figure king george will have to pull a Nixonian gambit to avoid trial for treason.

First, he'll replace Cheney with some innocuous repuke functionary--for health reasons or the ever-favorite "spend-more-time-with-family" reason.

Then, he'll resign.

Then, the placeholder will pardon all the neocons in the name of "national unity" or some such tripe.

Then king george will go spend a few months chilling with Ken Lay in Paraguay until most Murkans have forgotten what a criminal fuck he is.

Meanwhile, the whole vicious neocon cycle of cultivating ever-escalating hatred and stupidity among the Murkan public while undermining Democrats and the Constitution will continue.

Within a few years, the media will allow king george back into the ex-president mainstream, just as they did with Nixon.
