Republicans Know How To Get Out The Vote - Make No Mistake About It
The real secrete weapon the Republicans hold is their get-out-the-vote apparatus. Founded in the churches of the south and midwest, Republicans have a well developed list of the faithful who can be relied on to show up at the voting booth once they get their reminder and then make phone calls to all on their own list of like-minded souls. We Democrats have nothing like it.

It is important that you and I vote, and we will. I would suggest that right now it is probably more important that we do all we can to make sure that more timid like-minded souls show up at the polls too.

I plant to break out our address book on the eve of the election. I'm going to call friends who I expect to vote Democrat and have a little chat. My point won't be to promote any candidate, just to make sure they haven't forgotten that the day has come; casually ask where they cast their ballot, before or after work, "what do you do about the kids, anything I can do to help?" I will watch kids, I will feed dogs, I will even tend flatulent old Uncle Harry for a couple of hours if that's what it takes to allow one more Democrat to make to to the polls.

I know two Republicans who will definitely vote. I'm not worried about them because between you and I our votes will cancel out theirs. What I'm worried about is our ability to get that third guy out to the polls, the guy's who's vote will be the one that win's the election. The Republicans have a well oiled machine that gets him out. I urge each of you to do all you can encourage and assist progressive voters to get to the polls just two weeks from now.

2. no question about it ...
If a dem & repub poll identically just before the election, you can bet that
the repub will win because his party will turn out voters for him on election
day.

3. Phone calls and drives to the voting booth are the counter-attack.
But make sure that you don't have any Repub moles in your support group.

4. In recent days, the momentum appears to be shifting BACK..........
toward the rethugs as the RNC and WH begin their final maneuvers down the stretch. The Dems CAN NOT become overconfident in the final two weeks of this election; the rethug voters are being 'stimulated' to vote by the attack ads on the Democrats AND with lots of propoganda help from the MSM.

6. I've seen zero evidence of this momentum shift to GOP. Only one poll
Gallup which STILL shows Democrats ahead by about 15 after showing them at an unrealistic 23%.

I agree about overconfidence but have seen NONE of it.

8. Wide leads by Dems are narrowing as rethugs gear up for the closing.....
weeks of the campaign. MSM has THEIR marching orders from the WH to drum up support for the rethug vote.

5. One way they do it is by mailing out Absentee Ballots to all
Republicans have known for a long time that they get a better turn out, from the affluent especially, if voting is done by mail. People don't like to have to stand in lines and possibly run into that obnoxious person they have been avoiding. It is just so much more convenient for them to vote from the comfort of their own home. Democrats need to recognize this fact. Not everyone likes going to the voting booth. To some it is a major inconvenience. Those are the ones that just don't vote. Usually they would be Democratic votes we just miss out on. As long as there are election judges of all Parties that oversee the handling of all ballots I will continue to push for this method of voting...

7. I Don't Believe That Nonsense
The Repukelicans excel at lying, cheating and suppressing votes. That is all that they are really good at.
