missed KO's "Comment" last night- how was it?
Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 08:38 AM by npincus
We were in the hospital last night--my 4 year-old banged her nose hard on a piece of furniture, and we took her to the emergency room (she's OK, thank G-d-- no broken bones). Missed KO entirely... I have a feeling this was a goody.

1. Check it out ...
Here's a link to the video and if you can't play/hear it, there's a link on the page to a full transcript.

3. More passionate than usual for his "Special Commnets"
As usual, Keith's commentary was articulate, erudite, and very aptly targeted. What I found most noteworthy was the evident passion with which he delivered this particular commentary. It was a clear notch above the passion he's shown before - which was clear and well-grounded. This time, his anger and disgust actually rose to the level of tangling his tongue - it affected the delivery. It was, nonetheless, wonderful to witness - at long last some talking head voicing some small degree of the revulsion any sane, ciivilized human being should feel at the excesses and predations of this regime.

5. true
When he hit the part about finding the bones in a manhole at ground zero, you could feel the anger. The fact that he genuinely wears his heart on his sleeve is what makes him the most compelling Journalist out there today.

6. how was it?
Keith for the last six months has been having "Edward R. Murrow" moments a couple of times a week.

Monday night in particular was the modern equivalent to Murrow's exposure of Joe McCarthy that finally put an end to Joe's red-baiting and life wrecking schtick.

I feel like I'm watching stuff of historical proportions almost every night with Keith these days.

Every bit as powerful as Colbert's White House Press Corps speech.

9. He is just on fire!
I think we need to burn DVDs with a collection of these special comments. They could be left in libraries and churches and the like marked 'top secret'. Then maybe the people that need to hear Keith so desperately will discover him. He is the one thing that keeps me sane! Peace on earth, Kim

10. Good to hear your kid is OK.
Darn, I always feel sorry for the little ones when they bang themselves up.
I grew up covered in iodine and bandaids myself. ;)
