Misled? We were F****D.
Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 05:26 AM by Philosoraptor
I am so tired of hearing how America was 'misled' into the wars, that word is totally insufficient to describe what the worst administration in history did to us, and to our soldiers.

Americans for the most part feel that the administration was 'Misleading' us in the run up to the war, and 'misled' us about WMD's, Saddam with nukes, Saddam and nine eleven, and 'misled' us on every other damned thing. The fact is, they've misled us on the official story about nine eleven too.

Misled is an insult. What they did to us is they RAPED US, they fucked us all over like chumps, they didn't 'mislead' us, they outright lied and laughed in our faces the whole time, rivers of blood, and oceans of dollars later they are still 'misleading' us.

I have never liked the idea of having 'leaders' anyway, WE are the leaders. I will follow a leader if I happen to see one that makes sense, but I damn sure am not going to follow monsters, or be misled by them.

I'm amazed at our language which seems to hide more than it reveals. "68% of Americans feel they were misled about the war on terror". Misled? Were we?

1. Of course we weren't misled. Nor were the Dems who signed on for it.

And don't expect we'll be leaving Iraq anytime soon regardless.
Perhaps a short break before 'something happens' that will require us to stay put.

Time for the people to come together like the smaller nations and take the reins.

Abuse and degeneration are core republican values, along with paedophilia, homophobia,
stupidity and subhuman ignorance; rape indeed.

5. "Misled" is CorporateSpeak
Afterall, it was Corporatia that played the part of "misleading" the sheeple, and they don't want the sheeple to know that Corporatia fucked them over so badly. If the sheeple truly understood the role Corporatia played in their slaughter, they would stop buying all the cheap plastic crap that Corporatia throws in their faces! We can't have that, now can we!

9. Only some in America were "misled"
"What they did to us is they RAPED US, they fucked us all over like chumps, they didn't 'mislead' us, they outright lied and laughed in our faces the whole time, rivers of blood, and oceans of dollars later they are still 'misleading' us."

I'm sorry, but that didn't happen to me. I never believed a word they said and there were a lot of people here who felt the same. I consider myself an American, but I refuse to put myself in the same category as those who took this administration's bullshit hook, line and sinker.

The people who are saying we were misled are the people who fell for the line of bullshit and want an excuse as to why they couldn't think for themselves. I guess I can agree that we, as a country, were "raped" and lied to, but that is only because too many people fell for the crap.

11. When you do everything within the law to stop the war
from writing letters to marching in the streets and see your country go ahead
and commit a crime anyway it is enlightening. Democracy is cool for the
majority but it really really can suck for the minority.

Try using "misled" with your parents, boss, spouse, SO, and see how far it gets you. LOL.

20. I always thought this genteel language .......
talking about misled, misinformed, misjudged is itself misguided. It is inappropriate considering the terrible damage done to our nation. It's like calling Katrina a sun shower.

These assholes KNEW what they were doing and like the criminals they are, didn't care what we thought. I say fuck them right back!!

MSM had no problem to use "lie" about Clinton , Gore, Democrats - even if it wasn't in fact the case. But Krugman told us NYT had a memo where the word "lie" can never be applied to Bush. No matter what.

Edited on Tue Oct-24-06 11:14 AM by jokerman93
Time to stop beating around the bush, obfuscating, deferring, postponing, hoping for the best. Time to get together in ernest - all of us - and take back this country. Not secretly, not furtively, but openly and proudly as Americans exercising our inalienable rights. Time to give these warpigs a wake up call and a "shock and awe" style civics lesson. Let them know who really runs this country - the American people. If we have the will, we could shut them and their whole fascist criminal war syndicate down utterly. We could end this thing in a matter of months or even weeks.

WE are the only power they're afraid of, so they lie to us, terrorize us, and divide us with mind-numbing bullshit to keep us weak, disoriented and off-balanced. They're the ones that should be afraid - and they are.

It's time and it can be done. It is possible. We have the will. We were all born with the will and the power to change.

Our streets are waiting for us, people. We are Americans - the true heirs of the Revolution and inheritors of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Time to organize openly, publically and vociferously. Time to get out there in vast, sustained numbers with one voice, and in a thousand different ways, for as long as it takes, to deliver a renewed Declaration of Independence. It's time to shake off the hypnotic trance. We can demand change now. We can force change now. Each of us has the power to be each other's strength. We already have all the power we'll ever need to do this thing.

If not now when?
