Why does everyone include Kucinich in their '08 polls?

I highly doubt that after his porformence in 2004. coupled with the candidacy of Russ Feingold, a fellow liberal/progressive who is more well known and could gather more votes outside of liberals, that Kucinich would run for President. So why does everyone include him in their straw polls? It seems he gets 10% here, and that just dilutes the polling. Nothing against Kucinich or his supports of course.

1. The Kucinich campaign goal was to influence the platform

that is why he stayed in so long even after everybody knew it was going to be Kerry.

It was the most satisfying primary vote I have ever cast.

6. There's nothing wrong with him running

I'm just saying that he most likely won't run, and am i nturn asking why we include a candidate who won't run in our '08 polls. It's like putting say Bill Bradley or Mario Cumomo in the poll. They'll get votes but there not running.

I think he should have tried for the Senate in Ohio or even Governor.

12. Good point - post 9-11 no Democrat was supposed to come close so DNC didn't

even take 2002 and 2004 seriously.

There were some BRAVE Dems who DID pick up the sword and had to lay their heads on the line to do it. Dennis is one of those, and deserves to be included again, moreso than those who waited so as NOT to face Bush. They gave up just as the DNC and establishment Dems did who gave up right after 9-11.
