By TOM RAUM, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 56 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The White House is bracing for guerrilla warfare on the homefront politically if Republicans lose control of the House, the Senate or both — and with it, the president's ability to shape and dominate the national agenda.

Republicans are battling to keep control of Congress. But polls and analysts in both parties increasingly suggest Democrats will capture the House and possibly the Senate on Election Day Nov. 7.
Senate.

FYI - AP changed the title to the article... DAYUM I wish I'd have taken a screenshot too.

5. I didn't see how this article was pushing the chimp's agenda...
Seemed like a fairly good assessment of where we might be.

What was the part that led you to attack the author?

8. The title. You don't think that title is telling the readers if we win
Edited on Sun Oct-22-06 05:31 PM by xultar
it will be a war?

Better keep the REthugs in power so they can keep everything peaceful.

You don't think that is what they want the reader to get @ a glance?

Don't fool yourself. That is what they want to do...scare people into voting for them.

10. Well it ain't scaring me......I want to see a fight!
As do a lot of other folks, I would imagine.

I see your point, although I think it may be a little over-wrought. I'm not familiar with the writer, but reading this one article wouldn't make me suspect he was working for Rove.

6. LOL He slept through the last few years worth of partisan war?
Firing dem staffers and investigators, closing off key meetings, ONLY allowing the consideration of legislation that appeals to "a majority of the majority", STEALING dem information on judiciary computers, changing rules on the floor as suits them -HELLOOOooo, RAUM- almost FIVE YEARS WORTH of all out war so far! Did you enjoy your nap?

7. I am convinced beyond any reasonable doubt
that we have enough people that will be so outraged this time, if the evidence is strong enough that they steal this election too, we will make Watts look like it was a Quaker picnic.

but what exactly got your hormones so gyrated in it?

13. The journalists have little say about the titles the *editors* use for
the articles the journalists write.

Blame that headline on the AP's editors, who tend to be much more involved politically and with the owners of these big media corporations.

16. Not just the headline
It's in the first paragraph.
The White House is bracing for guerrilla warfare on the homefront politically if Republicans lose control of the House, the Senate or both — and with it, the president's ability to shape and dominate the national agenda.

What an ass that reporter is. The Publicans have been waging war on the people for years. So far, they are winning. We are about to turn the tide with a landslide election putting Dems in control of congress.

And with it we will change the course of the president's ability to shape the agenda ....... he got that right.

14. Guerrilla warfare - something Repukes know nothing about.
Must be some of the stupidest, square-brained, slackjaws EVER to sit in office.

Not a military brain-cell to be found in any of them. They lose every war they fight, that is why Repukes have to declare war on everything. They always lose.
