Anchors Adrift At Cable Net

MSNBC's Tucker Carlson and Rita Cosby, along with the cable channel's general manager Dan Abrams, spent a frenzied afternoon yesterday denying rumors that the anchors' heads were on the block. Whispers of the firings came on the heels of NBC chief Jeff Zucker's staff announcement that the network would cut 700 employees and $750 million, and move MSNBC's studios from Secaucus, N.J., to 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Speculation that Cosby would be shown the door began last July, when MSNBC canceled her low-rated "Live & Direct" and reduced the raspy blonde to hosting daytime specials. Meanwhile, Carlson, whose 6 p.m. "Tucker" ratings are down a whopping 19 percent this year, was busy warding off the circling buzzards on his own behalf. The former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant told one Web site that reports of his axing were "total bull." MSNBC brass responded to Page Six's questions about the anchors by e-mail: "Tucker Carlson is a huge talent and will continue to be an incredible asset to this network." Oddly, they didn't mention Cosby, which only fuels the speculation that she's been hung out to dry.

Plus, here's PROOF that Page Six is obsessed with Keith/MSRNC. JOHNSON once answered my e-mail wherein I asked why he is so hard on (Dem) Alex BALDWIN. He said, "It's a long story..." Here he quotes from a guest on Keith's show:

What is that?

She's becoming way too strange, and IMO she's crossing into the SCARY type of strange. I don't know how they assess a couple's lifestyle and character for adoption in that country, but I fear that money may have influenced the authorities to set the bar too low. :scared:

4. Tucker is a dangerous creep
He consistently will try to give that " I'm an independent thinker line" and it makes me sick. He probably appeals to the kool-aid drinkers, but we here know better. I think he should go, if they want balance they should do a better job of finding a thinking conservative, as hard as that might be.

will be shut down.

He's a RW covert operator who's helping to push a campaign of Anti-Intellectualism.

Tucker's highly intelligent but profoundly underestimates many of us within the Peasant Classes.

He's pathetic. The only reason I watch him is to catch his daily buffoonish comment.
