Did anybody watch the Tester/Burns debate tonight?
I caught the last 15 minutes and holy shit Tester is unflappable and Burns looks insane. Burns is saying that he has seniority and almost trying to bribe the voters with the pork ha can bring back home. BTW there are Burns supporters there who booed whenever Abramoff was mentioned, Tester supporters seem to out number them. At one point Burns repeated the same line when Abramoff was brought up "Well John you just keep beating that dead horse over and over again" and then he stops talking, Tester then says "Well are you going to amswer the question, $100,000 in August for legal bills, $27,000 last month in legal bills, somethings there Mr. Burns" and Burns said nothing.

3. i swear he is senile, he just kept looking all "Well i nevah!" stomps foot
it was hilarious and Tester, crissakes he's like a giant block of unshakable granite, never broke a sweat once, never, lost his composure and kept his sense of humor, Burns looks extra pathetic next to him.

7. You should be here in MT watching the TV commercials
Conrad is getting really desperate. Tester is the real deal and Burns is the has been toy of fat cats back east. Even in my little town in the extreme GOP eastern part of the state, Conrad is called a crook.

8. Been hearing from GOP neighbors:'His senior ty not worth it any more'
He missed several primary debates and events here in MT due to rubbing elbows with fat cats on both coasts. People are fed up and tired of the embarrassment.

Did I tell ya the one about him trying to 'give the Abramoff money to charity'? He tried to give it to a Tribal Council which had, as their sole registered lobbyist, a former Burns top aid! Give the money to charity? HA! He wanted it run through the laundry.

The Tribal Council, much as they could have used that money, had the good sense to tell Burns to keep it.

But, that's just a dead horse too, I suppose.

For anyone not up on Burns, drop by the Montana Forum and poke through our old posts on Burns. He is a crook, and not even a very good one.

13. somewhere on DU it was posted that the race is now considered 'close'
Before Tester looked like a clear winner.

IMO, these close polls are to make republican wins believable. There was just too much disbelief at the switch in GA 2002 from democratic big leads in the senate and governor races to republicans 'winning' both races. Such opportunity for skepticism will not again occur. Just like there will never again be the very close 'win' by W in FL2000 (see W's 'comfortable margin of victory' in OH2004).
