Thank god I haven't listened to him lately, but sometimes driving in the evenings, I would occasionally tune in just to hear what vile hatred he was spewing. IMHO, Limbaugh says what he thinks his audience wants to hear, Hannity is a GOP sock puppet, but Michael Savage is truly dangerous. He actually advocates rounding up Muslims and deporting them, imprisoning anyone who criticizes the Gopher King (although he has done this himself when he thinks the Gopher King isn't being harsh enough). He continually rails against gays and minorities. This man is an evil fascist through and through.

1. Did you read the thread about how hate crimes are up
in FL? By about 21%, if memory serves. Wonder what percentage of the perpetrators might be Savage listeners.

2. Dunno, but it happened in Santa Fe, NM last night , too
Someone trashed the menorah in the city plaza but left all other seasonal decorations untouched.

My guess is that it's militant Christians with bright red necks who haven't quite gotten out of high school.

This is why hate radio should never go unanswered. People are generally only to glad to hate anyone they've been given permission to hate.

Bring back the fairness doctrine! Speak truth to hate!

8. Absolutely!
Ignorance goes along with hate. In AZ after 911, a Sikh was murdered; apparently the killers thought he was Muslim because of his turban. Sikh temples have been harassed since then.

Question: If they caught someone committing a hate crime, and said perp used the "Rush told me to do it" defense, could Limpballs be indicted for hate speech?

3. The guy is either certifiable or he's a complete genius
Whoa. Sounds crazy? A Genius????

Well sure. You observe what a large amount of the American populous thinks and wants to hear: bash anyone who's not a "true" Christian, blame all the groups who are easy to lay blame on (i.e. the poor, minorities, ect) and find a way to make yourself heard above the usual fray (Rush, Hannity, ect) and then just cash in from all the suckers who tune in to swallow your bullshit for hours on end.

It's a good business really.

4. Unfortunately, there are too many who feel that way
Amazingly, there are many who feel that Limbaugh & Hannity (is it just me, or does he bear a striking resemblance to Porky Pig?) just aren't conservative enough. It's these people that Savage feeds off of. Whether he's genuine or not, the message of hate he foments is dangerous.

6. He's like a drug dealer
It could be like he himself doesn't even take any of his own dangerous product (name me a prominent conservative that has yet to be discovered to be some closet immoral sex addict or drug addict or both) but like I was saying he won't take his own product but he has no problem selling it to the masses for profit.

That's just a theory I really don't care if I'm right or wrong I just believe that for some reason maybe judging by the guy's background he's more about the profit he rakes in with his "unique" way moreso than he is about actually "saving America"

5. Even more than most RW radio geeks
Savage is scamming the yokels by seeing just how far he can push things, IMHO. Read his biography - all this anger is supposed to stem from what - he was denied a professorship at Cal years ago. I'm not buying it - I believe its a big effing game to make money and fairly successful by the looks of things.

7. He's an opportunistic tart.
Carrying around his little foo-foo dogs and treating restaurant help like complete shite. He's only in it for the $$$$$$.

He's still a nonpareil slimeball, however.
