Just Now on Jerry Springer
Edited on Thu Dec-29-05 11:17 AM by stepnw1f
a moron called and complained that we Liberals wanted to set up a "Nanny" state by helping and aiding those involved in Katrina and in rebuilding New Orleans. Funny thing is, even with all the social programs we have set up over the years to help the least among us, we never cost the tax payer as much as each Republican Administration has. Conservative my ass.

So what does it mean when America rebuilds other countries? And what about Corporate Welfare and how we the Tax Payer funds these neo-nut bags money for their World Domination tour?

Can you say, fucking evil or just stupid? Nanny State my ass... you Republican dorks aren't fooling anyone but yourselves.

At least we have the compassion and know how to help this country. You fuckers steal, whine and then try bullying us with your bullshit. Sorry Slap-Happy, but we are a hell of a lot more Conservative then you, and the record proves it. Go feed your corporate masters and shut up already!

2. I'll take the Nanny State over the Police State anyday.

4. Why should we accept either one?
When the Nanny State gets angry, in come the police. When the Police State feels kindly, in comes the big Nanny. In the middle of this vicious circle are the people, who pay the freight and suffer the pain. Who needs it?

6. There is No Nanny State
It's a Right Wing Red Herring. Super rich in this country don't want to share their wealth with the country that helped them get so wealthy, so they trump up a condescending description for all the selfish American to get up in arms about any form of socialism.

It is every citizen's duty to pay their share. That's not a Nanny state. That's compassion and PATRIOTISM! It's what keeps a Democracy Alive and keeps us from becoming a Fascist state!

5. Well, under Pubbies, we have Police Nanny State...
It's not just corporate welfare, but the idea that they can follow you around and dictate the rules by which you live your daily lives--your relationships, what you watch, what you say, whether you chose to worship or not, how you raise your kids, on and on. And they are willing to enforce it using the law as a pretext for legitimacy.

3. I'd love to hear what he has to say when he loses everything.
What would be his position, I wonder, if he lost his home and all his possesions. Destroyed. Gone. No clothes, no cars, nothing. Just his clothes on his back, and whatever he could stuff in his back pack.

Oh he has investments and money to fall back on? Well the bank he had it in was destroyed too, and that damn Nanny State isn't insuring the banks anymore, so bye bye cash. He has nothing. No nanny state to protect him. He went from having a nice house, 2 cars, a 48 inch television, and nearly a million dollars in the bank, but because of a storm which he didn't have a Nanny State to protect him from he lost everything he owns, and everythign he had in savings is gone as well because the nanny state didn't insure his bank.

Have fun being a migratory worker while being happy that you don't have a Nanny State to help you.

Putz.
