CNN: Bush has let Hezbollah over US borders to threaten NFL games
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 05:52 PM by Proud2BAmurkin
CNN reporting there are now confirmed reports that members of Hezbollah have crossed the southern US border into the US.

Bush has failed to protect America from terrorists. Bush's legacy is failure and incompetence.

The good news is the new polls show he and his rePUKE congress will be NEUTERED after election day.

Is the neighborhood poor and black or Mexican?

But you believe that using human shields is a good policy and should be rewarded?

20. Bombing is wrong.
Bombing is wrong regardless of whether the targets have taken measures to maximize civilian deaths. Bombing always kills civilians, even when measures are taken by the targets to prevent such. Hezbollah's murderous actions to not exhonerate Israel's murderous actions.

33. So true. So what?
Because if you have a peace plan, I want to hear it.

If you know a better way for Israel to respond to missile attacks on its cities, I want to know it, too. Organize a sewing bee, perhaps? Send a fruit of the month basket? PLEASE TELL ME YOUR PLAN.

36. Nobody said that.
though I think it legit to say perhaps it is better to let the terrorists go for now than to kill civilians.

It is not OK to kill the civilians, IOW, even if they are being used as human shields. Since they are being used, they don't deserve to die, even if "their" government "failed to control" the terrorists.

17. No. The residents of America are majority white and therefore it is
not acceptable to bomb any of our cities. America only bombs majority non-white countries. We take a different approach towards Irish terrorists as compared to Arab terrorists. We use police tactics to get at Irish terrorists. We use war to get at Arab terrorists. Then again, I am not confident that Bush will work within the normal paradigm. I don't know what he is capable of.

even though it does kind of throw a monkey wrench in the whole "fighting them over there thing", of course Bush will just explain it as proof that we should be fighting in Iran too.

10. We're calling up reserves who have already served.
We have stretched our army to breaking. We can't fight in Iran. Not without the draft. No way they get the draft.

Of course, the point of the border walls may well be to keep in our draft dodgers. They sure think ahead, those Republicans.

16. Holy shit! Every day I say, "well, at least Hezbollah isn't
trying to kill us. That would really suck." They are the only (non-state) terrorist group more dangerous than al Qaeda. If they are truly trying to kill us, I wonder what brought on that policy change (or if they are just rogues.) Of course, I don't find CNN to be all that reliable. If we know they are in the country, did they come legally or illegally? If they came illegally why don't we try, convict, and jail them? If they came legally, then do we have evidence that they are planning to commit crimes? If we do, we should arrest, convict, and jail them. If we have not evidence that they intend to commit crimes, then what can we do?

38. If they know they are in the country, find them and deport them
But this is likely just propaganda for the stupid fence (which wouldn't stop Al Qaeda operatives from entering on visas, just not having revealed their intent).

The only way to keep terrorists from entering the US is to USE the intelligence we get at the visa-issuing posts.

18. They will try to link Hezbollah to Chavez so they can kill Chavez.
Farfetched as that may seem, there was a piece on CNN this a.m. that said the same thing about Hezbollah slipping over the border from Mexico, and then in the same report they briefly mentioned that Chavez "might" share damaging info. about our country with terrorists, etc. This has "set-up" written all over it. Look for Homeland Security to "capture" some "Hezbollah agents", run them through the torture wringer, and "confirm" anything the * administration cares to allege.

24. paranoia in full bloom
there are no Hezbollah terrorists in the US. And even if they had some agents, they wouldn't be THAT stupid to start something. Specially not now.

But of course spreading that BS is helpful for Bush. And obviously some are buying it.

28. oh no ?
a militia of 3000 men stopped one of the best western armies of 30000, cracked the Israeli communication code, destroyed 40 tanks, 2 helicopters, sank a ship, regained lost territory and lost only 168 men. Not bad for beginners. Now what they need is to consolidate their victory. The Hezbollah's aim is to win power in Lebanon, nothing else. That's why they won't blow any bombs in the US.

40. Actually, I had them mixed up with the Palestinian groups
Like I said, I don't want to argue over the situation in Gaza, but offering a pretext for Israeli action seemed pretty stupid at the time. Those events were quickly obscured by Hezbollah's actions to the north, hence my confusion.
