Choose life. Yet these people want to remove the CHOOSE part from the equation!

3. That sounds like a great title for a song
Or at least a great lyric for a song!

5. Trainspotting! Choose Life.
Choose life.
Choose a job.
Choose a career.
Choose a family,
Choose a fucking big television
Choose washing machines, cars,
compact disc players, and electrical tin openers.
Choose good health, low cholesterol
and dental insurance.
Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments.
Choose a starter home.
Choose your friends.
Choose leisure wear and matching luggage.
Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase
in a range of fucking fabrics.
Choose DIY and wondering who you
are on a Sunday morning.
Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing
sprit-crushing ga me shows
Stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth.
Choose rotting away at the end of it all,
pishing you last in a miserable home
Nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish,
fucked-up brats
You have spawned to replace yourself.
Choose your future. Choose life.

6. Who knows. Could be...
I was just riffing off your post... so who knows, it could already be a song..
but if it's not.. any songwriters here (or poets) might feel free to run with it (???)
It seems like a deep question.

8. Suddenly I'm reminded of that hideous Wham! video
The 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" song, where George Michael pranced around wearing a shirt that said 'Choose Life', among other assorted outfits. How nobody knew that he was gay after watching that video is beyond me.

Somehow I don't see those oversized T's making a rapid comeback.
I will admit I had one... "Who Gives A Fuck What Frankie Say"
