Roves strategy revealed (Drudge breaking) I know I will take shit 4 this
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 12:05 AM by seriousstan
However, showing the hand they are going to play this close to an election is LBN. I have seen countless threads asking why Bush and Rove are so confident and here is the reason, straight out of Rove's mouth.

"White House political strategist Karl Rove tells editors and reporters at THE WASHINGTON TIMES: 'I'm confident we're going to keep the Senate; I'm confident we're going to keep the House. The Foley matter has impact in some limited districts, but the research we have shows that people are differentiating between a vote for their congressman and a member from Florida.' MORE...

'It is useful to remind people what said and what they do. I think they have given us here, especially in the last couple of weeks, a potent set of votes to talk about. You had 90 percent of House Democrats voting against the terrorist-surveillance program, nearly three-quarters of Senate Democrats and 80 percent of House Democrats voting against the terrorist-interrogation act. Something is fundamentally flawed.' DEVELOPING... "

1. If they're staking their success on their euphamisms for bad legislation
they're in more trouble than they realize.

2. I'm cautiously optimistic
that their optimism is just a show to keep the troops' morale up

4. That's a pretty weak hand.
For one thing, Americans were very split over the terrorist-interrogation act and the surveillance program doesn't get them up in arms one way or another.

5. We know the fix is in. The question is what are we going to do about it?
How many more elections do we allow to be stolen, until the tanks will be greeting us in the streets when we are headed to the fake polling precincts.

6. That is the reason for "Democrats are on the side of terrorists"
statements various GOPers are making.

Two thirds of the country is on the side of terrorists based on the criteria Rove/Bush is making here.

7. Rove evidently does not realize Americans are sick of Iraq.
Plus the economy sucks for many, despite the tax cuts that stuffed the pockets of the rethugs' wealthy pals.

Rove has had it, and his boss will soon be answering a whole bunch of subpeonas.

10. It is also useful to remind people ...
... that Rove considers a terrorist to be anyone who disagrees with Little Boots. IOW, the majority of American citizens are terrorists in Rove's twisted perception because:

1. we don't believe in spying on American citizens minding their own business;

2. because we believe that to deny basic rights of justice to even the most heinous of people eventually morphs into denial of justice to the most law-abiding of people; and,

3. because we believe that torture is profanely cruel, inhumane, worthless for gathering intelligence, and of course it is fundamentally unChristian, flawed and evil.

13. It's going to be a tough slog, don't kid yourself.
I take with a grain of salt the pundit's anticipation of a mighty Dem comeback as I do with all the "defection" stories and occasional newspaper endorsement shift.

If there IS major fraud and if there is the SAME MSM coverage of the fraud(s) that happened in the past, then there will be little gained, if at all.

The ONLY way out is to argue and fight your way out. Don't just campaign negatively, CHAMPION your candidate's causes and ideas.

GOTV, volunteer, write LTTE's whatever (oh, and vote, too).

Don't just win by default. Win because you've triumphed.

On edit: Tried to slip one in on LBN, eh?

16. Best response I heard yet. I personally have taken additional training
to be a "certified" presiding precinct judge this election. After 20 years on the job they finally "certify" me. I feel so authentic now.

20. Will OBL appear dead or alive? Rove can ask for a showing or
maybe he has served his usefulness and will be shipped to Paraquay to live out his life in luxury along with Ken Ley.

That way I can post it on another board that is viewed by both sides. I feel that is the best way to get the message out. How better if there is the possibility of changing minds and attitudes? Here, we all feel the same.

that Saddam's court Decision will be announced on Nov 5. How convenient. Can you say boing boing in the kangaroo court? Aren't "War Crimes" suppposedly tried in a NEUTRAL court as in The Haig? That whole charde is/was laughable.

23. They are already using an ad like this in New Mexico against P.Madrid
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 01:15 AM by Quixote1818
It just showed up in the last day or two. It talks about a terrorist calling from Pakistan to Denver and how Patsy Madrid (D) would make them get a warrant to be able to listen to the call, losing precious time!!!! OMFG!!!

The truth of the matter and Democrats better be ready to get this message out is:

They can get a fucking warrant after they intercept the call!!!!!!

Democrats need to counter these ads with ads that show the warrant can be issued afterwords but some kind of warrant needs to be gotten so we have a paper trail of what the fucking government is up to!!!!

We can win this issue if we just educate the public.

25. If this is it, then Rove has been too long behind the bubble
because this will blow up no skirts.

The "90% of Democrats" ... voting against the prisoner torture act do so because their constituencies held their feet to the fire.

No one out there with 4 working brain cells wants habeus corpus to go away. Karl is trying to spin the unspinnable.
