Poll question: Why did Bush sign the torture bill now?
It seems like it would have been more politic to let it lie until after the election. What advantage did Karl & Dick see in giving the chimp the pen now?

2. So many good choices...
It was hard to choose. (Except, the electrocuted one. Answering a poll with an answer that says you can't answer doesn't make much sense. In Bizzaro Bush world, though, maybe it does?)

4. So far...
the trend is toward terrorist attack, suspension of elections, and martial law. Question. Why is it so easy to accept that this group is capable of pulling this off to retain office? If they do this to hang onto power, why so hard to imagine what they were capable of to gain power in the first place? That the terrorist attack will be pulled off by actual terrorists, and Bush just gets lucky on the timing is not an acceptable answer. That one has been used already. Thanks.

7. yeah, but making that the subject of thread can get you banished to
the rubber room forum.

I have a feeling that business is going to come unraveled sooner than most people think--especially if a "terrorist" attack is in the pipe.

8. The thing is....
it's a legitimate question related to a legitimate GD Poll. I cannot understand anyone who claims open democratic discussion avoiding any question that, through the subject matter in the poll itself, is justified. It's like waking up and finding a burglar in your house, then denying it was the burglar that did the actual breaking in. Yeah, he's bad, but not that bad. Thanks.
