Operation Return to Sender: Continued (More on others)
This is from a South Florida paper:

"Camila Alzate can’t understand why her father is no longer with her.

All the 4-year-old remembers is that Cape Coral police arrived one morning and took him away.

“First I told her that Dad was arrested for owing traffic tickets, and nothing more,” said Camila’s mother, Maritza Villegas.

Camila’s father, Edinson Alzate, 38, was one of 163 immigrants arrested Sept. 20 and 21 by Immigration and Citizenship Enforcement officers during sweeps in Southwest Florida.

ICE officials said agents targeted undocumented immigrants with criminal pasts or deportation orders against them. They won’t discuss individual cases.

Neither Alzate nor his wife have criminal records, and since 2002, they have received work permits and valid Social Security numbers. The Colombian family was trying to obtain permanent residency based on a political-asylum request."

Bella was arrested on Sept. 19. Remember I told you "company Bella" had no illegals (per what Bella told us)? This man is not part of her group, so it appears that this program is not targeting illegals... now, people we need a section or something to keep track of each of these people when we get a name, and such... can anyone do a database?

For additional info on this, Google "operation return to sender" or read my account thus far of my cousin Bella's story:

1. It really seems like they are targeting any and all
non-citizens, pretty much willy-nilly, if their name is on even so much as a littering ticket. It is like fishing with explosives.

The person who was abducted has no criminal record--nothing.

Why are they rounding up people who DO have the appropriate documentation and the right to be here?

This administration has spent so much time demonizing illegal immigrants. I do not condone rounding up anyone---illegal immigrant or otherwise. However, this administration has been positioning illegal immigrants as horrible lawbreakers. I'm bewildered as to why they are going after legal citizens who have done nothing wrong?

The next step--in their sick world--is to detain and deport illegal immigrants. I don't want that to happen, and it's disgusting. However, that seemed to be their plan.

Why are they going after people who have been here for years--even decades--and people who have the appropriate documentation?

I really don't get this.
