Regardless of Election, Iran Will Be Attacked
and we'll be in "perma-war". It's why our troops are still in the Middle East, it's why the Navy is there now, it's what our financial markets are betting on, it's the continuation of the war mongering our nation has become.

Read Sy Hersh's April 2006 article in the New Yorker, he lays it all out in detail. Let's just hope nukes aren't used. If nukes are used, the world will change forever.

1. That could be their Oct attack/surprise, but I pray their balloon has
lost its gas. Seriously. Madmen scare me, and that's where we are.

2. Most people are lost in their own special interests
Very few people are even capable of taking the time to look at what the madmen are doing. Even the progressive press focuses most of it's articles on very small topics.

The real motive of the madmen is world domination, via threats and actual killing. That "balloon" never loses it's "gas", it constantly searches for the right opportunity which is now.

As Sy Hersh points out, Iran has no friends except Syria and Lebanon which will be or already have been attacked. Who will stop the madmen?

Nobody will.

3. I want to believe people now understand how inept this govt is.
That's why I think 'impeachment' is the only option.
Lebanaon was attacked, and why? We helped do it, and now we're helping to fix it?
That's a helluva foreign policy. :eyes:

4. We wanted to see their missle capability
I say "we" as the U.S. gov't, not rational human beings. When "we" attack Iran and Syria, it'll be helpful to know what other countries can do.

Impeachment only works if the DINOs go along, which they won't if another "war" -- this time involving nukes -- is going on.

These warmongering fckers are smart and they're banking on it. The American people aren't that smart. Look at all the threads in DU, in the major press and even in the progressive press. Very few people get the big picture.

7. Impeachment is an option. It depends on who you believe.
I believe we can do nothing less than that because the current resident 'so' deserves it. And his cohorts, so I don't want to hear about Cheney, et al.

5. Their October Surprise might be...
no October Surprise. One would expect a war, but that would clearly backfire. So perhaps the surprise is that there won't be a surprise and the war will occur after the election, if at all.

6. The Permawar Will Continue
or the economy will collapse, it's the only viable industry left in the U.S.. A massive and radical change in the U.S. gov't is the only thing that'll stop our warmongering.

With 1/2 our gov't being paid off whores regardless of the Nov. election results, the people with the money and the weapons will just keep up with business as usual.

Only a seriously radical change will alter it. I don't have any idea what that would require but if the neopukes did use nukes on Iran, that could seriously shock the world into a change.

9. I doubt it.
Attacking Iran is much different then attacking Iraq.
