A good friend who works at Walmart said they're selling
Edited on Mon Oct-16-06 04:50 PM by cboy4
:wtf:

I don't know because I won't force myself to shop there, but I thought Walmart censored which reading material it sells (mainly just lots of religious and lots of O'Lielly, Hannity, stuff that appeals to the Freeptards.)

Anyway, my buddy told me Woodward's book is selling very well. LOL.

1. Probably was ordered before they found out what's in it.

2. never shop at wal-mart but
it was my impression that they don't carry CDs with parental warning stickers (i.e., a lot of rap and metal), and don't carry "adult" magazines. Beyond that, however, I didn't think they "censored" based on politics. Checked their on-line site and they seem to carry Franken's books, Dixie Chicks CDs,etc etc.

4. I wonder if they have seperate "what we're going to sell" policies for
in-store versus online? Maybe not.

And their example of an "adult" magazine, is a fitness publication with a picture of a woman in a bikini on the front cover.

The horror!! :scared:

LOL!!

11. Sometimes I can be very dense....especially when I'm posting while
talking to my partner, watching "House Hunters" (they chose Hhouse #3) and rubbing my manic dog's belly.

Thank God I didn't make a big deal out of it and make a jackass out of myself ! I can over-react and be a real prick, but I'm in a "happy zone" tonight.

13.  In response, I'll quote one of my favorite college professors....
Edited on Mon Oct-16-06 08:51 PM by Rowdyboy
"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than have to have a frontal lobotomy".

Or Dorothy Parker....

"I like to have a martini,
Two at the very most.
After three I'm under the table,
after four I'm under my host".

I rest my case.

8. Think What You Want ... Wal Mart Sells What Sells
Its all about the money - think about it, Wal Mart has no real stake in a Republican body politic. The only national issue they care about is minimum wage, even health care for everyone would work out well for them. Its all about the money, no more and no less.

10. I agree mostly. However if it was completely about making money,
they wouldn't be so "family friendly" in the magazine section.

The bottom line is it's a revolting company that depends on slaves to keep prices down.
