going after evangelical vote in his book, Tempting Faith''

reads long quote about Bush having deep faith (?), 'cares about people,' but, as politician, head of government, his job is to expand power, therefore makes choices.

those choices include using these people as sops, because they were the EASIEST group to fool

2. Kuo is talking about what suckers conservative Christians have been
dating from the Nixon administration.

I guess if you're gullible enough to believe the earth is only 6000 years old, you're gullible enough to buy supply side economics and all the other crap the GOP is selling.

7. Yep. They're suckers. It's in their make up, I'm afraid.
Half of my immediate family are fundies. I'm sure they'll make their excuses for this debacle
just like they did for the illegal war and the deficits.

My family always belonged to an organized religion (Lutheran, Catholic). When they all got "saved" back in
the late 70s, they were greatly swayed by the "it's not your fault that you never got the full truth about Jesus from
your mainline church" bullshit. That played them right into the hands of the Rs when Reagan ran on his "government
isn't the solution, it's the problem" bullshit.

Ever since, they've been conditioned to reject anything that is presented to them as being "worldly" or logical. They now embrace any
crackpot philosophy that purports to give them "the real, god-honest truth" about things. Funny how that's always the straight RW line.

So, they'll probably sluff this one off as well.

3. A question Wolfie could ask Kuo...
"Mr. Kuo, some people say that your book was written while you were diagnosed for a malignant brain tumor. Should we look at your book as something that was written with your brain being invaded by cancer cooties?"

Another might be:

"Mr. Kuo, some people say that you actually are a devil worshipper and perhaps even a little Chinese. Could this play into your reason why you hate America?"

I bet I could work for Wolfie...this is so easy!
