Is Air America going off the air? I thought they were in chapter 11 and
would continue to broadcast? Are we not going to have AAR in Phoenix? Is Mike Newcomb's nova going to substitute for AAR what is the deal? I am hoping I can still hear Randy. No offense but I don't want to trade Randy for Joe Trippi and Mike Malloy! Even Zoby thrown into the mix doesn't do it for me if I can't hear Randi!

4. But I am wondering if we will still have it in Phoenix.I don't think we
will.It sounds like the new Sheldon and Anita Drobny effort with Mike Newcomb, Nova radio, will replace it here. I don't want to have to stream it or pay for satellite to listen to it in my car!

2. They are on right now
I'm streaming them now, listening to Franken. Just cause they filed for Chapter 11 doesn't mean they are done. If Chapter 11 meant that a company was dead, we wouldn't have any airlines flying right now.

7. Well, partially right
There'd be nothing holding GM cars together. Delphi, a major GM supplier, is currently in Chapter 11.

6. Chapter 11 is reorganization

If they were going completely kaput, they would have filed Chapter 7 (liquidation). All programming will continue as normal.

And Drobny's new network will not be full-time. Malloy will be on 9-MID ET. Zogby will be on weekends. Not much conflict with shows from other syndicators, including Randi.

And I believe Trippi is behind the scenes, not on the air.

8. My local progressive talk station runs shows outside of AAR shows
My local progressive station runs some AAR shows, others from the Jones radio network (Ed Schultz and Stephanie Miller) and some local programming. So your station will probably end up being a mix as well.
