1. I'm 3/4 through the book
Incompetent children. The entire cabinet plus Bush, that's all they are. Rummy is a bully. Condi is scared of Rummy and Colin. Colin plays tug of war with Rummy. Bush just sits around and twiddles his thumbs while they play games with each other...

2. I just read the first link
I can't stomach reading the second.

Garner totally caved. He knew what to do but got run over and spewed lies just to please Bush**. Exactly like Powell. Career military men who don't know what PERSONAL HONOR is about -- it's reprehensible. The LYING these assholes have done to cover their own butts has killed our own as well as unknown numbers of Iraqis and led both countries down a very dark path.

I only hope justice catches up with each and every one of them.

3. Read these;
they describe familiar forms and effects of bad management (micro-management combined with no leadership worthy of the name; suppressing "management"-displeasing information and informed-opinions; form over function; bullshit, delusional planning; etc).

And to think that we went to war like this.

And to think of how widespread this sort of "management" is in America.

Oh well.
