I am in awe of the power that is Bill Clinton
Edited on Sun Oct-15-06 08:38 PM by rpannier
The man has been out of office for six years.
Yet, if we listen to the reich wing he still is controlling our foreign policy, the war on terror, high oil prices and countless other issues facing America.

You'd think after 6 years, this Administration would have gotten a handle on these and other issues by now.

1. All those Republicans couldn't wrench the reigns away from him
They just haven't been powerful or savvy enough.

2. Assumed you were talking about how in demand Clinton is
around the world. He seems to be welcomed and cheered everywhere he goes. Now you take bush I and not sure if anyone but the corps. and oilies care to have him around.

Yes, bush II has been unable to fix anything since he is too busy playing the neo-con game where their rule book doesn't follow our founding fathers' rule book.

3. Hilary was asked a question about him (I forget the exact wording)..
and she said that he was a 'force of nature'. I couldn't agree more and I know that history will put him up there with our other presidential luminaries. Bush, on the other hand, will be relegated to what he said the war in Iraq will be - a comma (if that much). Actually, I could be wrong - he might be studied a great deal by future political science students as the absolute standard of what not to do!

6. They really do cede their power to him by criticizing him
They are too stupid to realize how they are showing their awe of him when they criticize him.

8. A conservative acquaintance said this
to me the other day and I said "this is like blaming Ronald Reagan for the first Gulf War" and he shut up. Later, as I thought about it, I figured there probably was a good argument for blaming Reagan but I made my point with this guy and as a bonus he has avoided me ever since.
