I was at the ASU campus with the Kerry supporters holding up signs to be visible on the news networks. We'd get into some interesting interactions with the Nazi Youth...uh...I mean...College Republicans. Of course, we'd loudly ask when they were planning to enlist and go fight the war they loved. They invariably have some weasel-y reason, often involving vague health problems.

Now these self-reported health problems didn't prevent them from holding heavy signs for hours and beating others back with them but, who knows? Maybe there is a condition known as Fucking Large Mouthed Cowardly Prick-ism. It struck scores of affluent young Caucasian men and women in the flower of their youth. It appears to be permanent in many of them, as evidenced by the fact that they show no signs of improvement, i.e. shutting up and/or enlisting.

One of my favorite responses. I asked a young lad (probably not a college student) hanging out in one of my favorite watering holes back in November 2002 (after he told me I should join the Army and go to Iraq to prove my love of country) what he did in the military. He said he hadn't served "yet." BTW - I spent 24 years in the Navy and served in a combat zone so I didn't think it necessary that I join the Army.
