Official Hilary hatred thread - the shrew just gave $2.5-3.5 million....
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 02:52 PM by BlooInBloo
... to help elect other Democrats.

From Hotline, via Kos:

"Sen. Hillary Clinton transferred $2.1 million from her Senate re-election account to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee on 10/5. She also gave $250K to the DCCC and $150K to the New York State Democratic Party. (Hotline sources)"

God I can't stand Hilary! All she does is trangulate! Such a schemer! Can't trust her! She'll do anything for power! So kniving!

Go to it, folks.

Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 02:58 PM by longship
Some people, including me, disagree with her Iraq position.

Some people, including me, think she should stay in the Senate and not run for the Presidency.

But, I do not hate her. I really like her. She's one helluva good Senator.

If she ever gets the presidential nomination I will whole-heartedly support her.

I think many people who you would mislabel as "Hilary <sic> haters" would agree.

Would you?

Is it kind of like one of those, "You're with us or with the terrorists" kind of deal? Either you have to accept Hillary and all her positions, or else you are a Hillary-hater?

I don't think I could ever come up with anything that is as screwed up. Sounds outright Rovian to me.

I do not hate Hillary. I like her, but I do not support all her positions.
Simple, isn't it?

41. Very simple - it's the implication that what's true of you...
... is true of all that's asinine.

Without that implication, what's the point of your personal anecdote?

Sure, I'm Rovian - lol! Rock on!

Just make up your mind - do you want to talk about everyone (your initial choice), or do you just want to talk about you personally (your second choice). Let me know when you decide.

46. Most of this info was released as part of an article appearing in the
NY Times. In the piece, Senator Clinton's spokesperson mentions the gifts.
While not a press release, it is obvious an effort was made to make these contributions known to the public. So, I was not making sh*t up. I also do not like being attacked because I point out what is obvious.

. Clinton, who has been occasionally criticized by liberal bloggers for not using enough of her bulging campaign coffers to help her party, is shipping $1.5 million to two Democratic Congressional campaign committees based in Washington, as well as to the financially strained New York State Democratic Party, her advisers said.

Mrs. Clinton is giving $1.1 million to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which comes on top of the $1 million that she gave the committee last month. In addition, the senator is donating $250,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and $150,000 to the New York State Democratic Party.

53. The information was provided by her spokesperson. I am sure
if Senator Clinton didn't want the information known she would of instructed her spokesperson not to mention it.

What is wrong with promoting this information? It shows no class. You don't contribute or give gifts expecting them to benefit you in some way or another. She has done no more than other politicians. Why are her contributions news?

Oh, the link worked for me. It came from the NY Times. Perhaps, you need to start an account in order to access it. I can't help you there.

34. I don't hate hillary: I just think she's unelectable.
I can carry those two concepts simultaneously: there's a lot of room in my brain for that.

I can also carry a third: that I don't agree with many of her votes, to support the war in Iraq for one, and perpetuate the republican myth of "flagburnin" for another.

I can also carry a fourth: that I agree with some other things she's said or done.

However, I think she's unelectable because fairly or unfairly, she is a lightning rod for repub hatred, and it would be a sisyphean task to overcome that.

Its not that she's a conniving shrew, its that she's the very worst form of democrat alive, socially progressive to the point of lunacy, but economically conservative. The kind of democrat that makes the party a mockery, promoting baby gay whales and banning guns while exporting jobs overseas. She's a DLC democrat, pro-business, pro-life, pro-nafta. Never did a thing for the working people. Her health care plan was a privatized abortion which would have enriched the health insurance companies.

She's just a turd, is all.

The money, I am just suggesting that in light of her war chest its nothing to crow about, unlike Kerry's $10 million, for example.

Now what about her vote for the war, her pandering and flip-flopping on abortion, her being a founding member of the DLC, her selling out the working people of america but tricking deluded progressives into supporting her because she's got a black issue, she's got a gay issue, she's got an environmentalism issue, one from column A, one from B, until the rubes think your a progressive.

Lets have a sister souljah moment, Hil!

72. try Rupert Murdoch

<snip>

Conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch will host a fundraiser for liberal New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, the Financial Times reports.

The mating ritual of the unlikely allies has been under way for months. Clinton set political tongues to wagging last month by attending a Washington party celebrating the 10th anniversary of Fox News, the cable news channel owned by Murdoch.

86. My 1st thought
But I think I already know the answer to why not give to the DNC.

A DLCer always gives to other DLCers. They can't be giving anything to the DNC which represents We, the People!

I do not see this as a happy thing - at all.

67. We should criticize when wrongs are done and support the rights.
Thanks!

68. Take the money and thanks. Now the purge is officially scheduled to begin
in December 2006...as soon as the House elections are over.

Nice knowin' ya, DLC, but the New Model Army is preparing for battle.

76. Good for her.
Why should we criticize when she does something useful.

Actually NO democrat should be criticized to be doing something useful for democrats. That should be the golden rule.

84. I guess I missed all of the "gasp! how divisive!" squeals...
... when people jump on her for IWR.

Oh, I get it - it's only divisive when you say something in *her favor*.

The greatest irony of all of this is: I'm not even a support of Mrs. Clinton for President - by which I mean in the primary, of course. There are 3, maybe 4 others I'd rather see win the primary (PLEASE RUN AL!!!).

I am, however, pro-fairness - it either applies in both directions, or neither.

she held a fundraiser for my man Jim Webb last week too.

Hillary is the big money raker for the Democratic Party, like it or not.

83. Yep, even if she never runs for president she will be worth her...
...weight in gold when fundraising for decades. I would even pay to go hear her.

88. I don't hate her,
I just want her to be Senator from NY for a very long time and not try to run for any other office in the near future. She's done a lot for the Empire State and my job was created because she encouraged my company to open up operations in Western NY and recruit from local colleges.

Oh wait, I actually don't agree with her on every issue so that obviously means I FUCKING HATE THAT CONNIVING SHREW AND MAY SHE ROT IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY!!! In case you missed it: :sarcasm:
