DNC says Bush allowed member of "axis of evil" to have nuclear test.
They put the word "allegedly" in the text, but their point is clear.

Today, President Bush addressed North Korea’s announcement of their alleged nuclear test over the weekend. Over the last four years, the Bush Administration has outsourced our diplomacy with North Korea to other nations and failed to take the lead in making sure America remains safe and secure.

“Today's announcement is further evidence that President Bush has taken his eye off the ball, allowing a member of the so-called ‘axis of evil’ to allegedly test a nuclear weapon,” said Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean. “First, President Bush aided and abetted the outsourcing of American jobs, and now he’s outsourced our diplomacy as well. This development on the Korean Peninsula is further proof that you can’t trust Republicans to keep America safe. Under the President's watch, North Korea has become more dangerous and Iran continues to threaten its neighbors and America. Democrats remain committed to a foreign policy that is both tough and smart.”

3. Personally, if the US is allowed to test whatever it wants, who are we

to say someone else can't?

The fact is NO ONE, nor no country should be equipped with Nuclear weaponry period. There is no redeeming value or quality other that the ultimate destruction of the earth.

Someone tell me how sane it is that a group of very power-hungry, illogical, and myopic men allowed our international weaponry to get to this destructive and escalated level?

That's not intelligence, its the height of fear and stupidity.

But I digress.

Back to, they are testing nuclear weapons. Yes, they are testing and perhaps more importantly in terms of our own accountability, so are we.

So, its not a very realistic and/or logical argument to claim that we can but they can't.

However, what Governor Dean states with regards to the notion that the Bush Administration is inflaming situations whereby countries such as Korea and Iran live in fear of our threats towards them, and as such they proceed to test because of the fear that our Administration is fueling, well that is a very valid point.
