"No one could have anticipated NK's desire & ability to obtain a nuke"
And why wouldn't Bushco say this?

It worked like a charm about 9/11, Katrina, Iraq, etc....

Although all of us here at DU realize that Bush had 6 years to do something about this, and he did NOTHING (as usual).

1. Actually, he probably CAUSED it.
He dissed the crazy leader. Crazy leaders don't like that. If George had any empathy he would have gotten it in one.

2. He & Kim are brothers in incompetence. The same pathetic, crazy,
jack-asses, in different nations. I'll bet the only thought that went through the void between arbusto's ears was, "this should take some of the heat off my screw-ups for awhile".

3. What gets me is
We went into Iraq for Nukes and there were none. We have North Korea testing one and now we need diplomacy. When we had weapons inspectors in Iraq that had not found nothing Bush still attacked. North Korea kick out nuclear inspectors and we need diplomacy. Here's the true story who was more dangerous North Korea or Iraq?

5. "No one could have anticipated..."
That single phrase alone is enough evidence of just how stupid this administration* believes we really are.

Having had a few friends work in the upper reaches of the federal gov't, I can rest assure that they prepare for everything and basically think of possibilities for everything.

Nothing happens by accident, nothing happens out of the blue and nothing drops from the sky.

I would expect them to roll out that piece of phraseology sometime today.
