60 minutes - Robert Johnson? Better not fly on a plane.

Dam - Robert Johnson? Looks like the person in charge of the list at the FBI is another Brownie. Used the Cheney defense, 'I have not looked at that, so I have no idea, blah blah.' She looks like a fool in the interview so far.

just another stooge... this system isn't meant to work by design.

The most dangerous terrorists are not even on the list because the intelligence community says they're afraid other countries might get ahold of the list and tip off the terrorists.

In reality, the most dangerous terrorists are actually assets of the very intelligence agencies that are making up the rule.

Just wait till they bring this system to train stations, bus stations, cabs and internal checkpoints.

2. Anyone else notice that the FBI and DOJ haven't don't shit
since Bush took power?

Look at their 9-11 investigations. There's not much.

The only terrorist they've managed to bring to trial and convict was Zacharias Moussaoui, some guy who would probably like to kill us if he could, but he didn't.

With Bush's War on Terra, War on Drugs, War on Everything, you would think there would be all kinds of activity in these departments. Seems the only people they investigate are whistleblowers and people who leak the truth.

No surprise to see another Brownie at the helm.

13. Is that a Robert Crumb work?
I heard he'd made a special edition of cards with old Blues players on it, wondering if this was one of them?

Thanks if you know

14. Sure is
From what I read, it is a fancier version of the Robert Johnson card he created for "Heroes of the Blues."

4. I wonder if there's any way to find out if you're on the list without
showing up at the airport? And (not that I support this, but wouldn't it make sense...from -their-
perspective)...to run the names when reservations/ticket purchases are made? The whole thing is an exercise in fucking stupidity. :grr:

8. No, as a matter of fact there isn't.
I contacted them, asked & was told no. I was simply curious, but I imagine the mere act of inquiring added me to the list.

11. no they won't tell you ahead of time, that would be stupid
if they really wanted to catch terrorists, they can't be tipping them off not to show up, that would be pretty inane

but if you have one of the most common anglo saxon or irish names then let's just say you'd better leave a lot of time at the airport

unfortunately my husband has one of the names in the report and we have been told they can't remove it because there is actually some evildoer who once used that name

even the TSA/customs official on the ground thinks it is dumbass, they have apologized but just said they have no power to remove the name, think about it, they've got to be manually clearing someone named smith or johnson every fucking day

parents if you love your child better name him toyota corolla, don't give him a simple anglo saxon name that thousands have had for thousands of years because you can be damn sure some evil doer or drug dealer has used it as an alias

12. the list
How do they hold people for 2 hours, yet still get planes out on time?

Do the people miss their plane, or do they hold up the whole plane?

If they hold up the whole plane, it's not really just a few Robert Johnson's that are inconvienced, but 100's of people
for each time it happens.

This is just more of the same with this government. This is 2006, couldn't there be a picture of the supposed terrorist that
shows up as well.

Couldn't they let the 80 year old white Robert Johnson through in 5 minutes when they notice the picture is of a 30 year muslim
Robert Johnson
