Can the born again repubs accept a gay congressman, once outed?
Edited on Sun Oct-08-06 02:30 AM by Philosoraptor
The born again dyed in the wool bush loving republicans HATE homosexuals, they would just as soon put them all in concentration camps like the Nazis did, so I doubt very seriously they'd be too tolerent after finding out that many republican congressmen and senators are gay and lesbian.

How forgiving would they be? As forgiving as their master Christ was? If a republican congressman stepped forward and said "I'm gay, and Christian, and I want to continue to serve you, please vote for me", would they still give him their vote?

We may soon find out.

1. Rove made a great deal about getting the right wing out
to vote against the gays. I still wonder why. Gays harm us how? When? Where?

Hitler hated the gays. Just a fact.

2. Jim Kolbe (R-AZ)
Retiring after 22 years. Only openly gay GOP representative. He was outed several years ago and got reelected several times.

3. The "Kolbe Incident" is all you have to know about republicans.
During the 2004 Pub convention Jim Kolbe addressed the delegates about foreign trade. He did not bring up any gay issues. But just the fact that he was gay "forced" the entire Texas delegation to TURN THEIR BACKS AND GET DOWN ON THEIR KNEES AND PRAY* --- as Kolbe spoke. Of course the TV camera zoomed in on this. Stupid and rude. Fox loved it.
Ergo: Rule #/Issue #1 is that being gay is the ultimate crime. No matter what you accomplish in life it is negeted by being gay. This is the mindset of the collective republican party.
All US republican gays (thousands/maybe even a million!) should come out of the closet and leave the bigoted party to wallow in its own hatred.

* - rumor has it that this was instigated by the same woman who came up with the "band-aid on the face" gimmick to mock John Kerry.

7. Yes it did
and the only reason Kolbe was reelected is that his district was a moderate district. They decided to nominate a fire breathing conservative who is going down in flames.

that they are under attack by gay folk in order to control the population.
